"Luisol" is a combination of two words, "lua e sol" (moon & sun) but when that is said together you have the impression that it sounds like "Luisol". At the same time it includes my name "Luis".

I was born in Lagos (Algarve) did the school and went to Lisbon to the Navy School. I won't bother you with lots of details otherwise I won't have much to entertain you with in the bar. Then I met a senior person from Thames Television in Teddington and I went to London and started a modelling career ... I know what you are thinking... but o.k.

Eventually modelling got boring and bla-bla I started to get involved into catering from scratch, worked hard and eventually managed a couple of wine bars and restaurants. I already had this lovely little bar in Lagos and decided to return to base. I made that decision in April 1992 and opened the bar on the 1st of May 1992 and so far so good.

One year later I met Hans, he comes from Eindhoven (Holland). Before he came over to Lagos he worked as a manager in a shipping company in Antwerp (Belgium).

Then he decided that being in the Algarve was a lot more interesting than doing office work. We run the bar together and eventhough he has never been a model, he is a model of a man.
